Suriname: The Climate Change Knowledge Database

The Government of Suriname has established a Knowledge Database that serves as a central platform for cluster-related data/information about Climate Change in Suriname. It aims to publish official and formal environmental data and information for national policy and planning.

The Knowledge Database has a Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) Tool through which users can assess and track the implementation of mitigation actions, including the status of implementation and progress achieved against the national climate change goals.

Furthermore, the Database provides access to relevant publications about climate change and climate change-related projects in the country on sustainable business models, public-private partnerships, policy and regulatory frameworks, energy efficiency, public transport and emissions, among other areas.
