Resume

Ricardo Monge-González is Costa Rican and currently serves as president of Academia de Centroamérica (https://www.academiaca.or.cr/), professor of industrial policy and economic development at LEAD University, as well as an associate researcher at Programa Estado de la Nación. He is a consultant to several international organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, the International Development Research Centre of Canada, the  Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the International Labor Organization. He was Technical Secretary of the Presidential Council of Competitiveness and Innovation in the Chinchilla-Miranda Administration (2010-2014), associate professor at Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (1986-2018), and presidential advisor at the Rodríguez-Echeverría Administration (1998-2002). His areas of work include economic growth, innovation, productivity, international trade, economic development, entrepreneurship, and finance. Dr. Monge-González has a Ph.D. in Economics from The Ohio State University, USA.
