In 2001, the Government of Belize, through the Central Statistical Office, released to the authorities, policymakers, professionals, researchers and the general public an environmental statistics compendium entitled “Environmental Statistics for Belize 2001”. The work is a continuous compilation process of scattered environmental information. Most of the information presented has been normalized according to international recommendations and standards.
