The COVID-19 social crisis and the social development ministries response

The board of directors presidency of The Regional Conference on Social Development in Latin America, together with the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), have carried out several virtual meetings with the member countries from the board of directors and the Conference, in order to share experiences about the role of the Social Development Ministries and equivalent entities, regarding the actual crisis that the world and the region are going through. 

The aim of this workgroup is to share experiences, needs, opportunities, and challenges facing the social crisis that derives from the pandemic in the region. For this, the workgroup proposes to begin with a two-panel discussion with a focus on the following topics:

1. Implementation challenges of social protection measures.
2. Post-pandemic economic reactivation and social and labor inclusion.
